Butanox HBO-50 Imported Catalyst is a methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) from Polyklear suitable for curing of unsaturated polyester resins. This type of catalyst gives low peak exothermic temperature but fast gel and cure rate, thus is especially suitable as curing agent for thick castings, where a high peak exothermic temperature may lead to cracking of resin.
